5-Day Journaling Exercise: Shed Life’s Emotional Weight

Theme: An exploration to unpack emotional heaviness and re-center yourself.

DAY 1: Mirror Check-In

  • When you look in the mirror, do you see who you really are—or what you think others see?

  • What emotions come up when you’re honest with yourself?

DAY 2: Emotional Weight Inventory

  • What regrets, decisions, or moments from the past year, or years, are still weighing you down?

  • Name them. Feel them. (Write them down).

DAY 3: The Perception Question

  • In what areas of your life are you putting more energy into appearing okay than being okay?

  • Where do you notice a disconnect between your inner truth and your outer image?

DAY 4: The Event That Shifted You

Think of a recent moment that made you feel emotionally heavy.

  • What really happened?

  • What did you feel in your body?

  • How much of that moment was yours, and how much was tied to old trauma or unconscious patterning?

DAY 5: Lighter Living Plan

  • What would emotional lightness feel like to you?

What 1–2 things can you do this week to shed the emotional weight you identified? Commit to one action that’s just for you..
