5-Day Journaling Exercise: So It’s the Laughter We Remember

Theme: “The Way We Feel” – Building a Life of Meaning, One Moment at a Time

Newsletter: So It’s the Laughter We Remember - Read

Day 1 – Rewriting the Details

  • Choose a story you often tell about your life.

  • What are the core “facts” of the story?

  • What are the emotional truths beneath it?

  • How does that moment shape your sense of self?

Day 2 – How Did They Make You Feel?
Think about a person who had a significant impact on you.

  • What made that person memorable?

  • Can you recall what they said or did — or is it just how they made you feel?

  • How do you carry their influence in your life today?

Day 3 – The Truth Game We Play
Explore how you tell stories — to yourself and others.

  • Do you embellish, soften, or change parts of your own stories? Why?

  • What “truths” have you repeated to yourself that might no longer serve you?

  • How would your life change if you re-authored one of those stories?

Day 4 – Brick by Brick

  • What are the micro-habits or beliefs you're working on now?

  • What has been your most meaningful “brick” laid so far in this phase of life?

  • What’s one more you can lay today?

Day 5 – What Will You Feel When This Chapter Ends?
Looking forward, how do you want to feel at the end of this year or decade?

  • What emotion do you want to be your legacy?

  • What habits, thoughts, or connections do you need to build that feeling — brick by brick?
